Data Controller
The SmartProsumers website is operated by CB Logic Sprl (the “Company”), headquartered at Rue Max Waller 22, 1190 Forest, Belgium, company number BE0460.684.078. CB Logic Sprl is the data controller for personal data collected via this site, unless otherwise stated for services provided by third-party vendors.
Personal Data Collected
Depending on your use of the site, SmartProsumers may collect and process the following categories of data:
identification and contact data: name, first name, e‑mail address, telephone, postal address;
order, billing, and delivery data;
data related to quote requests, installation, and support;
technical and navigation data: IP address, browser type and version, server logs, cookie identifiers, and other trackers;
payment data as necessary for administrative management (full credit card data is processed by the payment provider, see below).
Purposes of Processing
Data is processed for the following purposes:
responding to requests sent via contact forms and processing quote requests;
managing orders, payments, deliveries, and, if applicable, organizing home installations;
providing after-sales service and customer support;
managing administrative, accounting, and tax obligations;
ensuring site security, fraud prevention, and detecting abuse;
measuring and improving site functionality (statistics), in compliance with cookie regulations;
sending commercial communications only if you have previously consented (newsletter), and exclusively via Mailchimp if you have registered.
Legal Bases
Processing is based, depending on the case, on:
the performance of a contract or pre-contractual measures (e.g., managing an order or fulfilling a quote);
compliance with legal obligations (e.g., invoice retention);
the legitimate interest of the Company (e.g., site security, fraud prevention, service improvement);
your consent, when required (e.g., non-essential cookies, newsletter subscription).
Recipients and Sub-processors
Data may be transmitted, only if necessary, to the following categories of recipients:
CB Logic Sprl / SmartProsumers (processing and follow-up);
site host: Gigaweb (maintenance and hosting);
payment providers: Stripe and Google Pay (secure payment processing);
carrier: DPD (delivery management);
newsletter tool: Mailchimp (sending and managing lists, if you subscribe);
analytics and SEO tools: Google Analytics and Yoast SEO (see cookie section);
technical providers involved in maintenance or security;
public authorities when required by law.
Each provider acts as a sub-processor and has been selected based on security criteria; GDPR-compliant data processing agreements are implemented where necessary.
Payment
Payments made on the site are processed by Stripe and/or Google Pay according to the method chosen by the customer. Credit card data is collected and stored by these providers under their own terms and security standards (PCI-DSS). SmartProsumers does not store full credit card data, unless explicitly stated otherwise.
Cookies and Similar Technologies
The site uses:
cookies strictly necessary for site operation (shopping cart, security, navigation);
measurement cookies (Google Analytics) to understand usage and improve the site;
potentially SEO/utility cookies (Yoast);
third-party cookies for payment (Stripe/Google Pay) and email dispatch via Mailchimp.
Non-essential cookies (analytics and marketing) are deposited only with your consent, via a compliant cookie banner (accept/reject option). To manage your cookie preferences, use the consent center accessible on the site.
Retention Periods
Data is retained according to the minimization principle and for the duration necessary for the pursued purposes:
contact requests and quotes: retained for the duration of commercial follow-up (default 2 years);
order, billing, and accounting data: retained for the duration required by Belgian tax and accounting legislation (default 7 to 10 years);
data related to newsletter dispatch: retained as long as you are subscribed and for 3 years after your last interaction if you no longer respond;
technical logs and security journals: retained for a limited technical duration (default 6 to 12 months).
These durations are indicative; the Company may adapt them according to legal obligations.
Data Security
Appropriate technical and organizational measures are in place to protect data (encryption of transmissions, restricted access, backups, internal confidentiality procedures). Access to data is limited to authorized personnel and strictly necessary sub-processors.
Transfers Outside the European Union
Some providers (e.g., Mailchimp, Stripe) may use servers located outside the EEA. When transfers outside the EEA take place, the Company ensures they rely on appropriate safeguards (standard contractual clauses or other mechanisms compliant with the GDPR). Details of non-EU providers will be provided upon request.
Rights of Individuals
In accordance with the GDPR, you have the following rights: access, rectification, erasure, restriction, objection, portability, and withdrawal of consent when processing is based on it. Complaints
If you feel your rights are not being respected, you can file a complaint with the Data Protection Authority (Belgium).
Data Related to Comments and Accounts
V2 does not install a customer account feature and does not allow comments. Consequently, this policy does not include any processing related to comments or accounts.
Changes to the Policy
This policy may be updated; the date of the last update will be indicated on the page, and the most recently published version will supersede previous versions.
